What personal data is collected?

The customer data collected, processed, and stored includes:

  • full name;
  • address;
  • landline and mobile phone numbers;
  • citizen card number;
  • tax identification number;
  • email addresses.

When and by whom is it collected?

Data is collected when you request any of our goods or services, whether from veterinarians, nurses, or assistants, or through the contact forms on our website: https://vetvisao.com.

What is your data used for?

This data is used for administrative procedures, namely to:

  1. Create a client file;
  2. Allow invoicing for goods and services;
  3. Contact the client by phone, email, or SMS in the context of clinical follow-up, confirmation of scheduled appointments/complementary exams/surgeries, notification of arrival of ordered items, sending of analysis and/or exam results, as well as sending invoices when requested;
  4. Perform legally required procedures such as registration in the Pet Information System (SIAC);
  5. Provide the owner's data when the animal is referred to other colleagues, clinics, or hospitals;
  6. Send to laboratories when it is necessary to perform complementary exams, i.e., clinical analyses;
  7. To schedule surgery, consultations, clinical exams, or other procedures.

Where is the data stored and for how long?

The data is stored and managed in the Vet-Manager veterinary clinic management and billing program, with password protection. It is also backed up.

Paper-based data (clinical records, liability waivers) is stored in a secure cabinet within the veterinary clinic.

Your information will be kept in our database as long as it remains accurate for the performance of our duties.

With whom is the data shared?

  1. VetBizz Consulting – the company responsible for the Vet-Manager management software;
  2. Laboratories, veterinary clinics, and reference veterinarians for complementary exams not performed at Vetvisão;
  3. Companion Animal Information System (SIAC);
  4. General Directorate of Food and Veterinary Medicine (Animal Identification, Registration and Movement Division, SICAFE);
  5. Henriques e Madeira, Lda – the company responsible for the company's accounting;

What happens in case of a data breach?

Our Veterinary Clinic is committed to taking the necessary measures to resolve the problem, namely reporting it to the National Data Protection Commission.

Your Rights

The rights you retain over your data include the ability to request its correction, deletion, or restriction of its use. If you have given us consent to use your data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
